DOWN THE LINE

Twenty Minutes by Allan Murphy

A textbook carefully tailored to the communication needs of Japanese students. Each paired unit is designed for two students to talk to each other easily because of the strong student-relevant content. The materials promote both expansiveness and naturalness.

Each communication activity is designed to take twenty minutes, a length of time that many teachers may find a need to fill either at the start or at the end of a 90-minute or 2 hour class.

However, the activities can take much longer than twenty minutes. In fact, some of them can be complete lessons by themselves. They are the result of years of rigorous practical testing in the classroom. Twenty Minutes is for Japanese students but the content could be modified for use in other countries.
